Safe and Sanitary Report

Service Description

Unpermitted building work carried out before 1 July 1992 cannot now be signed off by Council as code compliant. This could impact any sale or valuation of a property, and obtaining insurance. The bank (mortgagee) or a landlord may also want assurance that the building is safe and suitable for use. By way of resolution, owners can obtain an independent third party "Safe and Sanitary" report which is placed on the property file as a public record. Grey Wolf Consulting Ltd can provide this report, which verifies the condition of the building or pre 1 July 1992 building work. Our estimated cost for the report is from $900 for single site standalone residential property. Our prices are based on a $220 hourly rate (with any site visits charged as a minimum 1 hour) plus $65 for travel costs per site visit (within Auckland only) plus any disbursements.
